interesting

I notice that if I post my food before I eat it, I am more apt to eat it. Does that make sense? I can think about what I should eat and don’t do it, but if I log the calories and see how many more I need for the day, I am more willing to eat it so that I can get my calorie count up.  For example, I have posted my breakfast…I haven’t eaten it yet, but I know I will because I have to get those calories in me.

I did ok yesterday. I ate 976 calories. I know I need to get up to 1200, at least, but I’m getting closer. Also, I walked. I didn’t do exercise walking, but I did walk. My knee did not appreciate it, but I know I need to do it. I have a crap load of stuff to do to prepare for my trip, but I will try to get some focused walking in today.

Anyone know what the weather is like in Chicago? Am I screwed because I don’t own a winter coat?

I’m sure it is cool in Chicago by now! It is getting cold here in Kansas!! I’m glad you are figuring out what it takes to eat a healthy diet. That really is a good step in the right direction! Try REALLY hard to get those calories up to 1200. You will be less likely to binge eat if you eat enough to keep your body satisfied. What is your trip for? Just fun?

My husband’s parents moved out there a few years ago, and we are going to celebrate thanksgiving with them.

I can be hungry and still not eat. It’s a control thing, I know that, but I realize it’s doing me no good. I have known that for a long time, but I’m finally ready to do something about it.

How sad is it that the other night when I got that crappy fast food, I still didn’t hit my caloric intake for the day.

I’m doing ok today. I had my breakfast a few minutes ago..yes, I’m a few hours behind, but I’ll get there, eventually. I have a really hard time putting food into my mouth right when I get up….for hours after I get up. Something else I need to work on.

Uhhh its 37 degrees here in michigan. I’m 4 hours from chicago so its not much warmer there. You’ll be okay if you don’t plan on spending alot of time outside. just pack sweatshirts!!!

I would say that you need a winter coat for Chicago. Good job on the walking. I know it’s hard to do when you hurt. Good job perservering and doing it.
